ABOUT US

Our Congregation

We are a community of Christians in Arlington, Texas, dedicated to the glory of God and the promotion of His kingdom. We believe that Jesus is the Christ: the only savior and hope for the world. We can't help but proclaim the goodness of God for His gift of salvation!

Our desire is to follow Jesus as authentically as we can, using God's word as our guide. Our worship is focused on praising God and building up the church through Bible-based teaching, congregational singing, and time spent in prayer.

We are simply Christians. Our faith, our beliefs, and our worship are drawn from what we can read in the word of God, and we are committed to following the Bible wherever it leads.

What to Expect

God had supplied us with the instrument He desires for New Testament worship: our voice! Worship leaders use their talents to direct us in four-part a cappella music. In our singing, we praise God, we encourage one another, and we teach listeners with lyrics inspired by the Bible.

Ephesians 5:19-20, Colossians 3:16, Hebrews 2:12, Psalm 100:1-2

We believe the Bible is the word of God and that all Scripture has been written by divinely-inspired writers. Though our faith rests in the commands and examples provided in the New Testament, we are committed to teaching the "whole counsel of God," understanding that even the Old Testament was written for our learning.

Sermons tend to be around 30-45 minutes, and we always encourage you to follow along in your Bible to test that the message you hear is true to what God has already spoken.

2 Timothy 3:16-17, Acts 20:16, 1 Corinthians 14:26

During our Sunday morning service, we remember the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ after the sermon ends. This part of our worship is called the Communion or the Lord's Supper. We pass one loaf of unleavened bread and one cup of grape juice around the congregation, just as Jesus did in the upper room with His disciples. This time together centers our appreciation for God's gift of salvation through the blood of His Son.
